At this San Francisco event, GE announced its commitment to building the “Industrial Internet.” For this announcement event, Blanket Theory was commissioned by Sub Rosa to help develop motion graphics that were deployed across several screens within the event setting. Included within the ten animations was a two minute video, projection mapped across five unique screens, that surrounded a full size decommissioned GEnx engine. The engine prop was present onsite during the event to speak to the twenty-plus sensors that capture real-time data streaming from the GEnx during its flights. This real time data capture allows GE to interpret the information and adjust protocols that lead to cost savings and preemptive maintenance.
